More than half of all active voters in Colorado have cast ballots before election day. The Colorado Secretary of State’s office told The Denver Post that more than one-point-six million of the three-point-two million mail ballots had been returned as of Monday evening. Republicans and Democrats have cast nearly the same number of ballots, with Republicans having a slight edge. Elections officials say unaffiliated voters cast early votes in record numbers, accounting for about 31 percent of all the early votes. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. today.
