Olathe Schools will open Friday after being closed Thursday due to a threat made by a student. Police deemed the Wednesday threat credible after reviewing the student’s social media account. The Montrose County Sheriff’s Office contacted the student and the student’s family shortly after midnight Thursday morning. A search of the home produced no weapons or ammunition. The Montrose County Sheriff’s Office, says the student has been taken into custody and charged with felony menacing and interfering with faculty, staff, students at an educational institution. The juvenile was taken to the Grand Mesa Youth Services Center.
