>>Rockies Doubled Up By D’backs

(Denver, CO)  —  Antonio Senzatela allowed four runs in six innings as the Rockies were doubled up by the Diamondbacks 6-3 at Coors Field.  Senzatela fell to 4-and-6 with the loss.  Nolan Arenado, Trevor Story and David Dahl all doubled in runs for Colorado, which remains a game-and-a-half ahead of the Dodgers but are now just two-and-a-half games up on the D’backs in the NL West.

>>Rockies’ Story Makes History

(Denver, CO)  —  Rockies shortstop Trevor Story is rewriting the record books.  With an RBI-double in the first inning last night, Story became the first shortstop in big league history to record 40 doubles, 30 home runs and 25 steals in a season.  He is also just the 16th player overall to accomplish the feat.

>>Rockies Resume Series With D’backs

(Denver, CO)  —  The Rockies and D’backs square off again tonight in the third installment of their four-game series at Coors Field.  Jon Gray will get the start for Colorado.  Arizona will send out lefty Patrick Corbin.

>>Broncos Sign Safety Thomas

(Englewood, CO)  —  The Broncos are adding veteran safety Shamarko Thomas.  The team also signed defensive lineman Niles Scott to the practice squad and released nose tackle Kyle Peko and defensive end DeShawn Williams.  Thomas spent time with the Broncos during training camp.

>>Avs Open Training Camp This Week

(Centennial, CO)  —  The Avalanche open up training camp this week.  Players report tomorrow with the first practice on Friday.  The Avs begin preseason play next Tuesday hosting the Las Vegas Golden Knights at the Pepsi Center.

>>College Football Preview

(Undated)  —  The college football locals are gearing up for their next games.  Colorado hosts New Hampshire on Saturday in its home opener, while Colorado State hits the road to face Florida.  The Buffaloes are 2-and-0.  The Rams sit at 1-and-2.
