>>Broncos Trade WR Thomas To Texans

(Englewood, CO)  —  The Broncos are parting ways with veteran wide receiver Demaryius Thomas.  They have traded Thomas to the Houston Texans in exchange for a 2019 fourth round draft pick.  The team’s will also swap seventh round picks next year.  Thomas is ranked first or second in several categories for the Broncos, who drafted him 22nd overall in 2010 out of Georgia Tech.  The Broncos host the Texans this Sunday.

>>Rockies Decline Option On Parra

(Denver, CO)  —  The Rockies are declining their 12.5-million-dollar option on outfielder Gerardo Parra.  The 31-year-old will receive a 1.5-million-dollar buyout and become a free agent.  Parra hit .284 with six home runs and 53 RBI in 142 games this past season, his third with Colorado.

>>Nuggets Visit Bulls Tonight

(Chicago, IL)  —  The Nuggets begin a brief two-game road trip tonight in Chicago against the Bulls.  Denver will then visit Cleveland tomorrow night before returning home to take on Utah on Saturday.  The Nuggets sit at 5-and-1 following Monday’s 116-111 win over the Pelicans.  The Bulls are 2-and-5.

>>Avs At Calgary Tomorrow

(Denver, CO)  —  The Avalanche resume their road trip tomorrow night in Calgary against the Flames.  Colorado will then visit Vancouver on Friday to wrap up the trek.  The Avs are coming off a 3-2 loss in Minnesota on Saturday.  They fell to 7-3-and-2 on the season with the setback.

>>College Football Preview

(Undated)  —  In local college football action, Colorado travels to Arizona on Friday.  The Buffs will try to snap their three-game losing streak that has them at 5-and-3 on the year.  Elsewhere, Air Force travels to West Point to play Army on Saturday, while Colorado State has the week off.
