>>Rockies Lose Tiebreaker Game To Dodgers

(Los Angeles, CA)  —  The Rockies are settling for a wild card spot after losing to the Dodgers 5-2 in the tiebreaker game for the NL West title in LA.  Nolan Arenado and Trevor Story hit back-to-back solo home runs in the ninth for the Rockies, who were seeking their first-ever division crown.  German Marquez fell to 14-and-11 with the loss.

>>Rockies At Cubs Tonight In NL Wild Card Game

(Chicago, IL)  —  It’s win or go home now for the Rockies as they take on the Chicago Cubs tonight in the NL Wild Card Game at Wrigley Field.  The winner will advance to play the Brewers in the NL Division Series starting Thursday in Milwaukee.  The Brewers beat the Cubs 3-1 in a tiebreaker game yesterday to claim the NL Central crown.

>>Broncos Blow Late Lead, Lose To Chiefs

(Denver, CO)  —  The Broncos blew a 10-point fourth quarter and lost to the Chiefs 27-23 at Mile High.  Phillip Lindsay and Royce Freeman both had rushing touchdowns for Denver, which slipped to 2-and-2.  Case Keenum finished 21-of-33 for 245 yards and an interception in the setback.  The Broncos visit the New York Jets this Sunday.

>>Nuggets Meet Lakers Again Tonight In LA

(Los Angeles, CA)  —  The Nuggets and Lakers square off again tonight in preseason action; this time in Los Angeles.  Denver opened the exhibition slate with a 124-107 win over LeBron James and the Lakers on Sunday in San Diego.  The Nuggets will host the Perth Wildcats, who are an Australian pro team, in their only home preseason game on Friday night.

>>Avs Open Regular Season Thursday

(Denver, CO)  —  The Avalanche open up the regular season on Thursday night hosting the Minnesota Wild at the Pepsi Center.  The Avs wrapped up preseason play 3-and-3 following a 6-5 win in Dallas yesterday.

>>College Football Preview

(Undated)  —  The college locals are back to work preparing for their next games.  This Saturday, 22nd-ranked Colorado hosts Arizona State, Colorado State visits San Jose State, and Air Force entertains Navy.
