>>Mahomes, Chiefs Drop Broncos

(Kansas City, MO)  —  Patrick Mahomes threw for 303 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Chiefs to a 30-23 triumph over the Broncos in Kansas City.  Case Keenum threw for 262 yards, two TD’s and a pick for Denver.  Rookie Phillip Lindsay rushed for 95 yards, including a first-quarter touchdown for the Broncos, who have lost five-of-six since a 2-and-0 start.  The Broncos host the Houston Texans this Sunday.

>>Nuggets Host Pelicans Tonight

(Denver, CO)  —  The Nuggets host the New Orleans Pelicans tonight at the Pepsi Center.  Denver will then visit Chicago on Wednesday and Cleveland on Thursday before returning home.  The Nuggets are 4-and-1 on the young season following a 121-114 loss to the Lakers last Thursday in LA.  The Pelicans are also 4-and-1.

>>Avs Off Until Thursday

(Denver, CO)  —  The Avalanche are enjoying some time off.  They will return to action on Thursday night in Calgary against the Flames.  Colorado will then visit Vancouver on Friday.  The Avs fell to 7-3-and-2 on the year with Saturday’ s 3-2 loss in Minnesota.

>>College Football Roundup

(Undated)  —  In local college football action on Saturday, Colorado lost in overtime at home to Oregon State 41-34.  The Buffaloes have now dropped three straight after a 5-and-0 start.  Elsewhere, Air Force fell at home to Boise State 48-38, while Colorado State lost 34-21 to Wyoming on Friday.
