>>Nuggets Open Road Trip Tonight In Portland

(Portland, OR)  —  The Nuggets are in Portland to battle the Blazers tonight.  It’s the start of a five-game road trip tonight for Denver, which will also make stops in Toronto, Orlando, Charlotte and Atlanta on the trek.  The Nuggets have won four in-a-row to improve to 14-and-7.  The Blazers are 13-and-8.

>>Avs Host Blues Tonight

(Denver, CO)  —  The Avalanche aim for a seventh straight win tonight when they host the St. Louis Blues at the Pepsi Center.  Colorado extended the streak to six with a 6-3 triumph over Pittsburgh on Wednesday.  The Avs are now 15-6-and-4 on the season. The Blues are 8-12-and-3.

>>Rockies Sign Rusin To Avoid Arbitration

(Denver, CO)  —  The Rockies are avoiding arbitration with reliever Chris Rusin.  The team has signed him to a one-year deal worth nearly 1.7-million-dollars.  Rusin went 2-and-3 with a 6.09 ERA in 49 appearances this past season.

>>Broncos Visit Free Falling Bengals

(Cincinnati, OH)  —  It’s a matchup of teams heading in opposite directions when the Broncos visit the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.  The Broncos are 5-and-6 and riding a two-game winning streak.  Cincy is mired in a three-game slide and has dropped five of its last six overall.  The Bengals are also 5-and-6.

>>College Basketball Roundup

(Undated)  —  In college basketball, Colorado hosts Colorado State tomorrow, while Denver visits Utah Valley.  The Buffaloes sit at 4-and-1 on the season.  The Rams are 4-and-3, and the Pioneers are 2-and-5.
