>>Nuggets Bash Lakers

(Denver, CO)  —  The Nuggets won every quarter as they bashed the Lakers 117-85 at the Pepsi Center.  Paul Millsap, Jamal Murray and Malik Beasley each scored 20 points in the win.  Denver held L.A. to 14 points in the fourth and improved to 14-and-7.  The Nuggets begin a five-game road trip on Friday in Portland.

>>Avs Slip Past Predators; Host Penguins Tonight

(Nashville, TN)  —  Tyson Jost scored the go-ahead goal early in the third period as the Avalanche slipped past the Predators 3-2 in Nashville.  Nathan MacKinnon had the other two goals to give him 17 on the season for Colorado, which  .  Semyon Varlamov made 36 saves in the victory.  The Avs are back home to play the Pittsburgh Penguins tonight.

>>Broncos Promote Hemingway, Place Heuerman On IR

(Englewood, CO)  —  The Broncos are promoting tight end Temarrick Hemingway from the practice squad after officially placing Jeff Heuerman on injured reserve.  Heuerman broke three ribs and bruised a lung in Sunday’s win over the Steelers.  He’s the third tight end to suffer a season-ending injury for the Broncos this year, joining Jake Butt and Troy Fumagalli.

>>Broncos Prep For Bengals

(Englewood, CO)  —  The Broncos are back on the practice field today preparing for Sunday’s game at Cincinnati.  Denver has won two in-a-row to improve to 5-and-6 on the season after last Sunday’s 24-17 win over Pittsburgh.  Cincy is also 5-and-6.  The Bengals turn to Jeff Driskel at quarterback after losing Andy Dalton for the season.

>>College Basketball Roundup

(Undated)  —  In college basketball last night, Colorado State was crushed by Southern Illinois 82-67.  The Rams fell to 4-and-3.  Tonight, Colorado entertains Portland, while Denver hosts Northern Colorado.  The Buffaloes sit at 3-and-1.  The Pioneers are 2-and-4.
