>>Rockies Edge Mets For Fifth Straight Win

(Flushing, NY)  —  Ian Desmond homered twice including a go-ahead solo shot in the top of the eighth inning as the Rockies edged the Mets 3-2 and swept the three-game series at Citi Field.  Gerardo Parra walked in the other run with the bases loaded in the third for Colorado, which won its fifth straight overall.  Kyle Freeland struck out eight over seven innings of two-run ball as he improved to 2-and-4  Adam Ottavino earned his first save.

>>Rockies Open Homestand Tomorrow Against Angels

(Denver, CO)  —  The Rockies are off today.  They will open up a six-game homestand tomorrow night with the first of two against the Angels at Coors Field.  The Brewers will come to town for four games starting Thursday.  Jon Gray will get the ball tomorrow for the Rox.

>>Former Bronco Orlando Franklin Retires

(Undated)  —  Former Broncos offensive lineman Orlando Franklin is hanging up his cleats.  Franklin announced on Instagram that he was retiring after seven NFL seasons to be a full-time dad.  The 30-year-old spent his first four seasons in Denver after the Broncos drafted him in the second round in 2011 out of Miami.

>>Broncos Hold Rookie Minicamp This Weekend

(Englewood, CO)  —  The Broncos will hold a three-day rookie minicamp this weekend.  The camp will be held Friday through Sunday.  OTA’s will begin May 23rd and run through June 8th, with a total of 10 voluntary sessions.  Mandatory minicamp is set for June 13th through 15th.
