>>Rockies Rally Falls Short In Philadelphia

(Philadelphia, PA)  —  The Rockies scored three runs in the ninth inning but the rally fell short in a 5-4 loss to the Phillies in Philadelphia.  Tom Murphy had three hits and two RBI for Colorado, which fell to 32-and-34 with its fifth straight setback.  Jon Gray gave up four runs across six frames to take the loss and dip to 6-and-7.

>>Rockies Resume Series In Philly

(Philadelphia, PA)  —  The Rockies and Phillies resume their three-game series tonight in Philadelphia.  Tyler Anderson will be on the bump for the Rox.  Philly will counter with Nick Pivetta.

>>Broncos’ Ray To Undergo Wrist Surgery Tomorrow

(Englewood, CO)  —  Broncos linebacker Shane Ray is scheduled to undergo bone fusion surgery tomorrow on his wrist.  Head coach Vance Joseph said yesterday on the first day of mandatory minicamp that a timetable for his return will be determined after the procedure, which will be the fourth on Ray’s wrist in the last year.

>>Broncos Continue Minicamp

(Englewood, CO)  —  The Broncos continue their three-day mandatory minicamp today.  The camp runs through tomorrow.  The preseason is less than two months away.  The Broncos begin exhibition play August 11th hosting the Minnesota Vikings.

>>Nuggets Begin Summer League Play July 6th In Vegas

(Las Vegas, NV)  —  The Nuggets open up NBA Summer League play in Las Vegas on July 6th against the Timberwolves.  The complete schedule was released yesterday and for the first time ever, all 30 teams will participate in Sin City.  The Nuggets will also play the Celtics and Bucks in preliminary round play before being seeded in a tournament.

>>Rapids Host Chicago Tonight

(Houston, TX)  —  The Colorado Rapids look to snap their eight-game losing streak tonight when they host the Chicago Fire at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.  The Rapids are last in the league with just eight points.  The Fire have 19 points.
