>>AL Beats NL In All-Star Game

(Washington, DC)  —  The American League outlasted the National League 8-6 in 10 innings to win the All-Star Game at Nationals Park in D.C.  The teams combined for a record 10 home runs, including back-to-back solo shots by Astros teammates Alex Bregman and George Springer in the top of the 10th inning.  Nolan Arenado went 0-for-2 with a walk, Trevor Story hit a solo home run, and Charlie Blackmon was 0-for-3.

>>Rockies Open Second Half Friday In Arizona

(Denver, CO)  —  The Rockies open up the second half of the season on Friday in Arizona against the Diamondbacks.  The Rox won five straight before the break to improve to 51-and-45.  Colorado is now just two games behind the Dodgers for first place in the NL West.  The D’backs are a half-game behind LA.

>>Rapids Visit Real Salt Lake Saturday

(Salt Lake City, UT)  —  The Colorado Rapids hit the road to Utah to face Real Salt Lake on Saturday.  The Rapids are 0-2-and-1 in their last three matches and are currently 11th in the Western Conference with 16 points.  RSL is fifth in the West with 29 points.
