>>Search For New Head Coach Begins For Broncos

(Englewood, CO)  —  The Broncos announced Wednesday they had interviewed former Colts head coach Chuck Pagano for their open head coaching position.  They are scheduled to interview Rams’ quarterback coach Zac Taylor and Steelers offensive line coach Mike Munchak on Friday.  Patriots’ defensive coordinator Brian Flores and Bears’ defensive coordinator Vic Fangio are to be interviewed on Monday.  The Broncos fired head coach Vance Joseph after back-to-back losing seasons.

>>Former Broncos Coach Interviews In Cincinnati

(Cincinnati, OH)  — Former Broncos head coach Vance Joseph interviewed with the Bengals for their head coaching vacancy.  Joseph was the Cincinnati defensive coordinator from 2014-to-15.  The position became open after the Bengals mutually parted ways with Marvin Lewis after 16 seasons.

>>Nuggets At Kings Tonight

(Sacramento, CA)  —  The Nuggets look to keep the win streak going tonight as they visit the Sacramento Kings.  Denver has won its past three games and is first in the Western Conference at 24-and-11.  The Kings are 19-and-18.  Denver returns home on Saturday to host Charlotte.

>>Avs Can’t Make Up Four-Goal Deficit

(Denver, CO)  —  Despite being down four goals late in the second period, the Avalanche were able to net three goals in the final 25 minutes, but came up short, losing 5-4 to the Sharks at the Pepsi Center.  Tyson Jost had two goals in the comeback attempt.  Pavel Francouz stopped 12-of-13 shots in his second NHL appearance after starter Philipp Grubauer  [[ groo-BAHW-uhr ]]  was pulled.  Colorado has lost six straight games and haven’t picked up a point since December 19th.  They are down to fourth in the Central Division with 46 points.  They will host the Rangers tomorrow night.

>>Rantanen Joins MacKinnon In Representing Colorado At All-Star Game

(Undated)  —  A week ago it was learned Avs center Nate MacKinnon was voted on by fans to be the captain of the Central Division all-star team.  He will be joined by teammate Mikko Rantanen  [[ MEE-koh ran-TA-nehn ]], who  was named to his first all-star game.  Rantanen is second in the league in assists and points, behind Tampa’s Nikita Kucherov  [[ nih-KEE-tuh KOO-chuhr-awv ]]  in both categories.  MacKinnon is third in points. The all-star game will be January 26th in San Jose.

>>College Basketball Roundup

(Undated)  —  In college hoops action last night, Colorado State lost 78-76 at UNLV, Denver lost 71-70 at home to South Dakota and Air Force fell 65-58 to New Mexico.  Tonight:  Colorado will play at Arizona in its Pac-12 opener.
