>>Nuggets Punished By Pistons

(Detroit, MI)  —  The shorthanded Nuggets were no match for the Pistons in a 129-103 loss in Detroit.  The entire starting five scored in double-figures for Denver, but Trey Lyles led the way with 20 points off the bench.  Monte Morris added 18 points for the Nuggets, who fell a half-game behind idle Golden State in the West.  The Nuggets continue their four-game road trip tomorrow in Brooklyn.

>>Nuggets’ Millsap Sits With Ankle Soreness

(Denver, CO)  —  Nuggets forward Paul Millsap sat out last night’s setback in Detroit due to right ankle soreness.  Denver is already without Gary Harris and Jamal Murray, who are both sidelined with injuries.

>>Avs Host Blue Jackets Tonight

(Denver, CO)  —  The Avalanche wrap up their long homestand tonight when they battle the Columbus Blue Jackets at the Pepsi Center.  Colorado will then head out on a three-game road trip starting Thursday in Washington.  The Avs have lost three in-a-row after Saturday’s 5-1 setback to Vancouver.  They sit at 22-21-and-8 overall.  The Blue Jackets have lost five straight and are 28-20-and-3.

>>Colorado Visits UCLA Tomorrow

(Los Angeles, CA)  —  Colorado is headed to Los Angeles to take on UCLA tomorrow night.  The Buffaloes will then visit USC on Saturday.  CU crushed Oregon 73-51 on Saturday to snap its two-game skid.  The Buffs are now 12-and-9 on the season and 3-and-6 in Pac-12 play.  The Bruins are 12-and-10 and 5-and-4.

>>College Hoops Roundup

(Undated)  —  In other local college basketball action, tomorrow, Colorado State hosts sixth-ranked Nevada, while Air Force entertains Wyoming.  Denver travels to Tulsa on Thursday to play Oral Roberts.
