>>Avalanche Hold Off Sabres

(Buffalo, NY)  —  Colin Wilson had a goal and an assist to help the Avalanche clip the Sabres 5-4 in Buffalo.  Alexander Kerfoot, Matt Nieto, Tyson Jost, and Gabriel Bourque also lit the lamp in the winning effort.  Jonathan Bernier [[ burn-YAY ]] stopped 28 shots in the victory.  The Avs snapped a two-game slide but still sit two points out of the final wild card spot in the West.  The Avs host Montreal on Wednesday.

>>Nuggets Host Spurs Tomorrow

(Denver, CO)  —  The Nuggets return to action tomorrow as they host the San Antonio Spurs.  Denver is 30-and-26 overall on the season.  The Nuggets will visit the Bucks Thursday in their final game before the All-Star break.

>>Rockies’ Pitchers And Catchers Report Tomorrow

(Phoenix, AZ)  —  Rockies’ pitchers and catchers report for spring training camp tomorrow in Phoenix.  The first workout is Wednesday.  Position players must report by Sunday, with the first full-squad workout next Monday.  The Rockies begin spring play February 23rd against the Diamondbacks.

(Undated)  —  In local college basketball action yesterday, Colorado knocked off Stanford 64-56 for its third straight win.  The Buffaloes travel to Washington State on Thursday and Washington on Saturday.  Elsewhere, Denver hosts Omaha on Wednesday, while Colorado State visits Fresno State on Saturday.
