>>Avs Pound Panthers

(Sunrise, FL)  —  J.T. Compher, Carl Soderberg and Gabriel Landeskog scored third period goals as the Avalanche pounded the Panthers 5-2 in Florida.  Soderberg also tallied a shorthanded goal in the second period, while Mikko Rantanen opened the scoring in the first for Colorado, which is 2-and-1 on its current four-game east coast road trip.  The Avs wrap up the trek trip tomorrow in Tampa.

>>Nuggets Continue Trip Tonight In Charlotte

(Charlotte, NC)  —  The Nuggets are in Charlotte to square off with the Hornets tonight.  It’s the fourth stop on a five-game road swing for Denver, which has won the first three and seven straight overall.  The Nuggets now lead the Western Conference at 17-and-7, a half-game better than Oklahoma City.  The Hornets are 11-and-13.

>>Broncos Visit 49ers Sunday

(Santa Clara, CA)  —  The Broncos hit the road Sunday to San Francisco to face the 49ers.  Denver is seeking a fourth straight win after beating the Bengals 24-10 in Cincinnati last Sunday.  The Broncos are 6-and-6 overall.  The Niners are just 2-and-10.

(Undated)  —  In local college basketball action tomorrow, Colorado hosts UIC, Colorado State entertains Sam Houston State, and Denver welcomes in Western State Colorado University.
