>>Nuggets Knock Off Magic In OT

(Orlando, FL)  —  Jamal Murray scored seven of his game-high 31 points in overtime to lead the Nuggets past the Magic 124-118 in Orlando.  Paul Millsap posted 18 points as Denver won its seventh straight to move into first place in the West at 17-and-7.  The Nuggets resume their five-game road trip tomorrow in Charlotte.

>>Broncos’ Sanders Out With Torn Achilles

(Englewood, CO)  —  Broncos leading receiver Emmanuel Sanders is out for the rest of the season with a torn Achilles tendon.  Sanders suffered the injury during practice on Wednesday.  The 31-year-old led Denver this year with 71 catches for 868 yards and four touchdowns.  The Broncos sit at 6-and-6 following three straight wins.  Denver travels to San Francisco to face the 49ers this Sunday.

>>Avs Resume Road Trip Tonight In Florida

(Sunrise, FL)  —  The Avalanche resume their four-game east coast road trip tonight in Florida against the Panthers.  Colorado has split the first two games on the trek after Tuesday’s 6-3 loss in Pittsburgh.  The Avs sit at 16-7-and-5 on the season.  The Panthers enter the tilt with a 11-10-and-5 record.

>>Colorado Names Georgia OC Tucker Head Coach

(Boulder, CO)  —  Colorado has named Georgia offensive coordinator Mel Tucker as its next head football coach.  The deal is for five years and worth 14.75-million-dollars.  The 46-year-old Tucker replaces Mike MacIntyre, who was fired after the Buffs lost their sixth straight game after starting the year 5-and-0.  Colorado ended the season 5-and-7 and missed a bowl berth.

>>College Basketball Roundup

(Undated)  —  In local college basketball action, Colorado State was crushed by Arkansas 98-74, while Denver fell at Air Force 73-65.  The Rams host Sam Houston State on Saturday, and the Pioneers entertain Western State Colorado University.  Colorado is also back in action Saturday hosting UIC.
