>>Pirates Pound Rockies

(Denver, CO)  —  The Pirates scored four runs in the fourth and five more in the fifth en route to a 10-2 win over the Rockies at Coors Field.  Carlos Gonzalez hit a two-run double in the sixth for the Rockies, who had won their previous two.  Chad Bettis was rocked for nine runs in less than five frames to absorb the loss.

>>Rockies Play Rubber Match With Pirates Today

(Denver, CO)  —  The Rockies and Pirates play the rubber match of their three-game series today at Coors Field.  German Marquez will take the mound for Colorado.  Pittsburgh will counter with Chris Archer.

>>Broncos Continue Practice

(Englewood, CO)  —  The Broncos’ first depth chart of the preseason is out.  Rookie Bradley Chubb is listed as starting SAM linebacker, while Devontae Booker is first at running back.  The Broncos practice again today and tomorrow before opening up the preseason Saturday hosting the Minnesota Vikings.

>>Rapids Hose San Jose Saturday

(Commerce City, CO)  —  The Colorado Rapids are back on the pitch Saturday hosting the San Jose Earthquakes at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.  The Rapids are coming off a 2-1 win over the LA Galaxy this past Saturday.  They remain 11th in the West with 20 points.
