Reclamation Awards Nearly $184,000

The Bureau of Reclamation awarded just over $184,000 for WaterSMART efficiency projects. Bostwick Park Water Conservancy District and the Cimarron Canal and Reservoir Company, in Montrose, will receive $15,000 for the install of an automatic control gate for the Cimarron Diversion Dam. Fire Mountain Canal and Reservoir Company, in Hotchkiss will receive just over $31,000 for its Reservoir Monitoring and Control Project. The Maybell Irrigation District will receive $75,000 for its Canal Water Conservation Project. And the The Uncompahgre Valley Water Users Association will receive nearly $63,000 to use toward its Tail Water Telemetry Project. The WaterSMART Program aims to improve water conservation and reliability, helping water resource managers make sound decisions.
