KKCO: Montrose Couple Discovers Love One’s Body Parts In Illinois

Two people from Montrose claim they agreed to a cremation using Sunset Mesa Funeral Directors but the Montrose business apparently sold the body parts. The TV outlet reports Rick and Kimberly D’Ambrosio moved to Montrose in 2014 when Rich’s mother died of heart failure and recently the D’Ambrosio’s say the FBI tracked down their mother’s body and say some of her body parts were sold to a body broker in Illinois. The D’Ambrosio’s then had Colorado Mesa University test their Mother’s ashes and they didn’t match up. The couple says they only agreed to a cremation. KKCO is reporting the FBI is currently investigating hundreds of ash remains to determine if they’re authentic or fake.
