Brush Fire Causes Evacuation

A brush fire erupted yesterday afternoon on Mustang laneĀ  in Montrose. Approximately 40 to 50 acres burned but no structures were lost. Nobody was injured. The Daily Press reports the fire crossed the Uncompahgre river and evacuations were ordered. The Montrose Fire Protection district said the fire was 95% contained late last night.
