BLM May Relocate To Grand Junction

U.S. Department of the Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke is prepared to go forward with a proposal to move the Bureau of Land Management headquarters to the Western United States. Republican Congressman Scott Tipton has confirmed the agency is vetting locations to move its operations from Washington, DC. Earlier this year, several of Colorado’s congressional representatives discussed the possibility of moving the BLM to Grand Junction, about 30 miles from the Utah state line. The final approval for the move will require an act of Congress.
