Threats Continue as Walk Out Looms

A Montrose High School student was arrested Sunday after threat was made against Montrose High School on Facebook messenger. According to an email from Superintendent Steve Scheill, police arrested the student for interference with school facilities. The name of the student was not released. In addition, hundreds of Colorado students are expected to walk out of class to demand action to stop school violence. Students will reportedly spend 17-minutes out of class, one-minute for each of those killed at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. The Wednesday walkout comes on the one-month anniversary of the mass shooting at the Florida high school.
