Standoff In Delta Ends in Arrests

From Delta Police:

On September 12, 2018 at approximately 7:19 p.m. officers with the Delta Police Department assisted the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department Street Crimes Unit and Mesa County SWAT team with the arrests of Jay Dee Linkenhoger and Alexandra Jae Gomez. Linkenhoger and Gomez barricaded themselves in a Delta hotel room for approximately two hours after they learned law enforcement was outside the hotel. The suspects surrendered to law enforcement after a window was broken to gain access to the room. Both suspects were transported to the Delta County Jail. Inside the room officers found a firearm, schedule 1 & 2 controlled substance, drug paraphernalia and possible burglary tools. Linkenhoger was also arrested on three felony warrants and one misdemeanor warrant with a bond of $13,500 and multiple no bond warrants.

Alexandra Jae Gomez, 19 of Grand Junction Arrested on charges of Possession of drug paraphernalia – Possession of burglary tools X 3 – Marijuana paraphernalia – under 21 – Criminal Mischief – Tampering with physical evidence – destroy – Failure to leave premises.  Jay Dee Linkenhoger, 36 of Grand Junction Arrested on charges of: – Possession of controlled substance special offense – deadly weapon – Weapons possession/previous offended – dangerous – Possession of drug paraphernalia – Possession of burglary tools X 3 – Marijuana paraphernalia – under 21 – Criminal Mischief – Tampering with physical evidence – destroy – Failure to leave premises.
