>>Rockies Edge Phillies For Seventh Straight Win

(Denver, CO)  —  David Dahl homered for the fourth straight game and also tripled in a run as the Rockies held on to beat the Phillies 5-3 in Denver.  Trevor Story and Carlos Gonzalez added solo shots as Colorado won its seventh straight.  The Rockies sit one game ahead of the Dodgers for the NL West lead with three to play.  Scott Oberg got the win and Wade Davis his 42nd save.

>>Rockies Host Nationals In Final Series; Dodgers At Giants

(Denver, CO)  —  The Rockies control their own destiny as they open up their final series of the regular season tonight against the Washington Nationals at Coors Field.  The Rox magic number to clinch their first-ever NL West Division title is three.  The Dodgers visit San Francisco this weekend one game back in the division.  LA does hold the second NL wild card, one game ahead of St. Louis.

>>Broncos’ Butt Out For Season With Torn ACL

(Denver, CO)  —  Broncos second-year tight end Jake Butt is out for the season with a torn ACL in his left knee.  He suffered the injury during a walk-through yesterday.  Butt tore the same ACL twice at Michigan, forcing him to miss his entire rookie season with the Broncos while recovering from the second knee injury.  He had eight catches for 85 yards through three games.

>>Broncos Prep For Chiefs

(Denver, CO)  —  The Broncos are prepping for the Chiefs.  The AFC West rivals will meet on Monday Night Football at Broncos Stadium at Mile High.  Denver is 2-and-1 on the season, one game behind the 3-and-0 Chiefs.

>>Avs Host Wild Tonight

(Denver, CO)  —  The Avalanche are back on the ice tonight facing off against the Minnesota Wild at the Pepsi Center.  The Avs will then wrap up preseason play on Sunday in Dallas against the Stars.  The puck drops on the regular season next Thursday.

>>Nuggets Open Preseason Sunday

(San Diego, CA)  —   The Nuggets open up the preseason this weekend.  They will face the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday at the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego.  The Nuggets have been training in San Diego all week.  Denver will play a total of five exhibition games before the regular season tips off October 17th in LA against the Clippers.

>>College Football Preview

((Undated)  —  Colorado is in primetime tomorrow night as the Buffaloes host UCLA to begin Pac-12 play.  The Buffs enter conference play at 3-and-0, while the Bruins sit at 0-and-3.  Meanwhile, Air Force hosts Nevada on Saturday.  Colorado State has the week off.
