>Rockies Clip Cubs In 13 Innings To Reach NLDS

(Chicago, IL)  —  The Colorado Rockies are headed to the National League Division Series.  Tony Wolters singled in the winning run in the top of the 13th inning as the Rockies beat the Cubs 2-1 in the NL wild card game at Wrigley Field.  Nolan Arenado plated the other run on a sac-fly in the first inning.  Scott Oberg got the win.

>>Rockies Face Brewers In NLDS Starting Thursday

(Milwaukee, WI)  —  The Rockies will play the Brewers in the NLDS starting Thursday in Milwaukee.  Game Two of the best-of-five set is scheduled for Friday before the series shifts to Denver.  Game Three is Sunday and Game Four, if necessary, would be Monday.

>>Nuggets Nip Lakers In LA

(Los Angeles, CA)  —  Mason Plumlee netted 23 points on 11-of-11 shooting as the Nuggets nipped the Lakers 113-111 in preseason action in LA.  Nikola Jokic added 20 points as Denver improved to 2-and-0.  The Nuggets will host Australian pro team the Perth Wildcats in their only home preseason game on Friday.

>>Avs Host Wild Tomorrow To Open Regular Season

(Denver, CO)  —  The Avalanche host the Minnesota Wild to open up the regular season tomorrow night at the Pepsi Center.  The Avs are looking to build off their 95-point season last year that ended with a first round playoff exit.

>>Broncos Prep For Jets

(Englewood, CO)  —  The Broncos are on a short week as they prepare for Sunday’s game at the New York Jets.  Denver has lost two in-a-row after Monday’s 27-23 home setback to Kansas City.  The Broncos are 2-and-2 on the season.  The Jets are 1-and-3.

(Undated)  —  The college locals continue to gear up for their next games this weekend.  On Saturday, 22nd-ranked Colorado puts its unbeaten record on the line at home against Arizona State, Colorado State hits the road to San Jose State, and Air Force hosts Navy.
