>>Rockies Down D’backs In Rubber Match

(Denver, CO)  —  Raimel Tapia singled in the go-ahead run during a three-run sixth inning as the Rockies rallied for a 5-1 win over the Diamondbacks in Denver.  Trevor Story added a solo homer and Carlos Gonzalez singled in a run in the seventh for the Rockies, who won the final two in the three-game set.  Scott Oberg picked up the win.

>>Rockies Open Series With Mariners Tonight

(Denver, CO)  —  The Rockies open up a three-game Interleague series with the Seattle Mariners tonight at Coors Field.  It’s the final series before the All-Star break.  Antonio Senzatela will get the start for the Rox.

>>Report:  Nuggets Deal Faried To Nets; Sign “I.T.”

(Undated)  —  It was a busy Thursday for the Nuggets.  According to ESPN, Denver shipped Kenneth Faried, Darrell Arthur, its 2019 first-round pick protected and 2020 second-round pick to the Nets.  Brooklyn will get the Nuggets’ first-rounder if it’s not in the top-12.  Denver received guard Isaiah Whitehead, but will waive him.  The Nuggets cleared 21-million-dollars in salary cap space and about double that in luxury tax savings.  They also signed point guard Isaiah Thomas earlier in the night to a one-year, veteran minimum deal.

>>Nuggets Take On T’wolves In Vegas Finale

(Las Vegas, NV)  —  The Nuggets take on the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight in a consolation game to wrap up their stay in Las Vegas.  Denver was bounced from the Summer League tournament with an 85-77 loss to Toronto on Wednesday.  The Nuggets are 3-and-1 so far in Sin City.

>>Avs Name Cronin Coach Of AHL’s Colorado Eagles

(Denver, CO)  —  Greg Cronin is the new head coach of the Colorado Eagles, the Avalanche’s new AHL affiliate.  The 55-year-old Cronin has spent the last four seasons as an assistant coach of the New York Islanders.

>>Rapids Host Houston Tomorrow

(Commerce City, CO)  —  The Colorado Rapids are back on the pitch tomorrow hosting the Houston Dynamo at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.  The Rapids have lost two straight and are currently 11th in the West with just 15 points.
