A recount is possible in the Ouray County Sheriff’s race. The Ouray Plaindealer is reporting there are still about 120 to 130 outstanding ballots to be counted. About 115 of those are signature rejections that occurred during Tuesday evening’s count, which can be verified within the next 7 days. Another 10 to 15 ballots from overseas have yet to be counted, as well as any other ballots floating around the state. Those ballots can also be counted within the next 7 days. As of right now, Unaffiliated candidate Lance Fitzgerald is the unofficial winner with 1,503 votes and Republican Joel Burk is just two votes behind with 1,501 votes.
