You may encounter delays on US 550 near Red Mountain Pass. CDOT continues work on a damaged under-road structure on near Red Mountain Pass, due to excess water. The damage was caused by a rock slide two weekends ago. Crews are also working on the cliff wall above the highway. A crib wall is an under-road and retaining wall structure which supports the road. The additional rock mitigation work started yesterday. Flaggers will control both northbound and southbound traffic. Traffic holds will be intermittent through the work days and should last no more than 30 minutes. Rock mitigation work should be completed in less than a week.
