Deadline is December 8th for Forest Plan Revision

People that use recreational motorized vehicles and people that use non motorized bikes are in disagreement on government land trail use. The “non-motorized” crowd seeks a more quiet and peaceful experience on the government controlled lands which would mean banning motorized vehicles. Friday is the deadline for public comment on a US Forest Service Draft plan that discusses many different kinds of uses such as camping, biking, OHV’s, hiking etc. The plan is called the Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnison Forest Plan Revision #51806. You’ll have to go to the US Forest Service website to state your opinion be December 8th. Here is the link:

    I think the non motorized should have to pay a registration fee to support their trails like the motorized do. They should pay their fair share. They want to close down the trails to motorized vehicles, who are helping to support the trails.
